Mr. Sanjeev Juneja

Mr. Sanjeev Juneja is also known as the Brand Machine. He is providing consumers with high-standard Ayurvedic products at pocket-friendly prices. Under the flagship of Mr. Juneja’s, a wide range of Ayurvedic personal and health care products have been released in the market, out of which some of the most prominent and renowned brands are Roop Mantra, Pet Saffa, Dr. Ortho, Sachi Saheli, Accumass, Dantmani, Madhumani, More Power, Rajsee, Cough Rahat, Eye Mantra, Itchku, and Tulsi mantra.

Mr. Juneja is also recognized in the Indian market as the founder of the Kesh King brand. Earlier in 2015, he created history in the FMCG sector by selling his Hair Care Business including the Kesh King brand, to Emami Limited for 262 million US$ which has been recorded as the second highest-paid brand after Paras-Reckitt Benckiser’s deal among FMCG companies in India. Under the stewardship of Mr. Juneja, SBS Biotech Unit II is successfully marching forward to become India’s top Ayurvedic firms that are dealing in the marketing and manufacturing of Ayurvedic OTC products.

Early Life and Indulgence in Ayurveda

Mr. Sanjeev Juneja is the son of the Late Dr. I K Juneja, who was a renowned Ayurvedic practitioner in Ambala. His mother, Ms. Usha Juneja, is a homemaker and fond of studying Ayurvedic texts and herbs. During his childhood, Mr. Sanjeev Juneja was taught about Ayurveda by his father. He gained tremendous knowledge about Ayurveda and consequentially, opted to pick this subject to make his career in the same. Some of his friends recalled the days of their friendships when they had observed Mr. Sanjeev Juneja doing something of his own. His father used to share the dream of having his own Ayurveda-based company. But, unfortunately, Mr. Sanjeev Juneja lost his father in 1999. Though the time was tough and shattering, he kept his morale high and stepped ahead with a firm mind to establish his own business and launched a firm by the name of, Sanjeev Pharmaceuticals in April 2001. The first five years of his business were full of struggles where he himself went door-to-door and shop-to-shop and convinced retailers to introduce his products in the market.

The Journey Toward a Successful Business

Before commencing the business journey, Mr. Sanjeev Juneja was well-aware, as well–equipped with the fact that a modernized and state-of-art company is required to develop high-quality Ayurvedic products and to meet consumer demands. Thus, Mr. Sanjeev Juneja launched his own firm, at Kala Amb in 2008 and a partnership firm, SBS Biotech Unit – II in Himachal Pradesh.
After his compound efforts and a keen vision, Mr. Juneja launched Kesh king in the year 2009, which eventually turned out to become one of the leading brands in the hair care segment. The present firms were thereafter diversified with wide ranges of products covering various personal and health care segments. SBS Biotech Unit II protruded the market and faced all the barriers head-on to be recognized in the market as the fastest FMCG producing company.

The Success of Kesh King

Due to consistent efforts and long-term strategic planning, Kesh King became one of the highest-selling and consumer-oriented brands in the Indian market. The success of Kesh King in India led the company to higher standards and allowed it the opportunity to produce its own niche in the market.
The brand was endorsed by the famous Bollywood celebrity, Juhi Chawla and she has remained as the brand ambassador of the Kesh King for years.

The brand, Kesh King, consisted of hair oil, shampoo, and ayurvedic capsules. Analysts estimated that these three products contributed 80% of the total sales whereas shampoo contributed 15% of the total sale. The products under the Kesh King brand were quite effective as they did not just nourish the hair but also prevented hair fall, dandruff, and premature greying.

In the later years, the Hair Care Business was sold to Emami Limited in May 2015 for 262 million US$, which has been recorded as the second highest-paid brand after Paras-Reckitt Benckiser’s deal in the history of FMCG companies in India.

IKJ CARE FOUNDATION

In 2018, Mr. Sanjeev Juneja started an NGO named “IKJ Care” in the loving memory of his father, the late Shri I.K. Juneja.

Save the Girl Child Campaign

The company of Mr. Sanjeev Juneja initiated this campaign to support parents who had two daughters.

Upgrading the Infrastructure 

The foundation helps children below the poverty line in their education by upgrading the infrastructure of primary schools.

Donated Ambulances

4 Ambulances were donated by IKJ Care to assist with the timely care of patients during COVID-19. 

Distribution of Dry Ration 

During the COVID–19 pandemic, the foundation helped by providing the daily dry ration to more than 250 families on a daily basis.
